We have german handies (vodafon), or the other version: kenian netprovider handy (i dont know which one, have to ask) and vodafon handy in germany.
So far we communicate with mail, but my friend is in 30km distance from Oloitokitok Town, which makes it difficult and expensive. Thanx for comments. hakunamatatahakunamatatahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11721792878702839680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31101786.post-34312370145697021982010-02-25T10:55:18.146+00:002010-02-25T10:55:18.146+00:00Thanks Ann. I used a pinhole camera system and it was very clear and easy. Sadly I didn't work out in advance how to photograph it.
Because it was early in the morning and the sun was reasonably low (just after 8am for totality) I could get the image on a wall.
Ann

PS I have to post as Anon because I don't know how to do the others!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31101786.post-46983940582915216312010-01-21T21:14:53.796+00:002010-01-21T21:14:53.796+00:00Hi Richard,

Your contact could use any one of them to pick up your email at any computer. No problem to do so in Taveta, either. But I don't think there's anywhere with public internet access between these two towns. Possibly Illasit or Rombo.

Good luck!

RichardRichard Trillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10252891231892285377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31101786.post-62015606782428066052010-01-21T12:11:15.016+00:002010-01-21T12:11:15.016+00:00Hi,

Or somewhere else in the area, maybe southwards in direction Taveta? If yes, can you please tell me the exact location? I need to get in contact with someone living in this area and would like to tell him via SMS to go to this internet cafe to be able to exchange e-mails.
Thanks alot,
AmaryllisAmaryllishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09796170422414008814noreply@blogger.com
